Dunne Mitchell Aikman was established in 1985 as the successor in Scotland to McBains. The company can trace its roots to the firm of John McBain, Quantity Surveyors (London, 1926), James Shankely, Quantity Surveyors (Aberdeen, 1946) and John Dunne, Quantity Surveyors (Dundee, 1964). 

Dunne Mitchell Aikman has now become DMA Partnership, with Director Gordon Aikman currently heading up a team of Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Employers Agents.
